From the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 100-150% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 40-100% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 80-110% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers.
Current condition in the transit rivers
On January 11, 1cm rise in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 135m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 84% of decade norm (in 2017, 192m3/sec, i.e 120% of decade norm. 10cm decrease in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption hold 64m3/sec, i.e 96% of decade norm (in 2017, 70m3/sec, i.e 104% of decade norm).
Current condition in the downstream of Kura river
On January 11, decrease in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River. In this regard, 2cm in Surra and Novruzlu settlement of Aras, 3cm in Salyan and Banka while 6cm cm in Shirvan.
At present, water level holds 446 cm (on January 11, 2017, 380cm) in Surra settlement, 333cm (on January 11, 2017, 253) in Shirvan, 308cm (January 11, 2017, 213), 262 cm (on January 11, 2017, 205cm) in Banka, while 173cm (on January 11, 2017, 110cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras.
