İn general 2026 monitorings were carried out in the sector of the Caspian Sea and its coastline, as well as in facilities and floating vehicles, with 621 offshore including. During monitoring water, ground, drilling mud and sludge samples have been taken. 21060 analytical, 14904 ecotoxicology, 16890 microbiological a total of 52854 have been explored. During the monitoring, regular physico-chemical, microbiological, biological and ecotoxicological studies were conducted on 4483 (water, drill mud and soil) samples taken from 235 flows into the Caspian Sea.
Environmental issues recorded as a result of monitoring were reflected in the weekly and monthly bulletins and were forwarded to relevant government agencies to take action.
Microbiological pollution has been reported in the settlements not provided with such devices beach areas of Sumgayit, Shikh and Sahil settlements. Regularly environmental monitoring carried out in the coastal strip of the Caspian Sea in the Republic of Azerbaijan, beach zones, and major recreational sandy areas.
With the purpose of studying the contamination of the section of Caspian Sea of the Azerbaijan Republic and its coastal zone by polluting substances, environmental monitoring has been held in residential areas located on the coastal strip of the Caspian Sea, at the facilities of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan,“Azeri”, “Chirag”, “Guneshli” and “Shahdeniz” fields, at ports, bridges and sea beds.
